Ferdinand, a little bull, prefers sitting quietly beneath a cork tree simply smelling the vegetation versus leaping around, snorting, and butting heads with different bulls. As Ferdinand grows large and strong, his temperament remains mellow, however one day five men come to select the "biggest, fastest, roughest bull" for the bullfights in Madrid and Ferdinand is mistakenly chosen.
