Trailer Pride (2014)
Based on a trues story. In the summer season of 1984 รข€“ Margaret Thatcher is in energy and the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is on strike. At the Gay Pride March in London, a crew of gay and lesbian activists decides to raise cash to aid the families of the striking miners. But there is a downside - the union seems embarrassed to obtain their support. However the activists are not deterred. They choose to forget about the union and move direct to the miners. They determine a mining village of Onllwyn, in the Dulais Valley in Wales, and later set off in a mini bus to make their donation in person. And so begins the incredible story of apparently alien communities who shape a unexpected and finally effective partnership.
