Jack Slavin is an environmentalist with a center situation who lives with his daughter, Rose, on an isolated island. While Jack fights against builders who want to build in the area, he also craves extra contact with different people. When he invitations his girlfriend, Kathleen, and her sons, Rodney and Thaddius, to transfer in, Rose is upset. The difficult family dynamics makes things tricky for everyone in the house.
