During the remaining forty years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been traveling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever converting humanity. He has witnessed the prime occasions of our fresh historical past ; international conflicts, starvations and exodus… He is now embarking on the discovery of pristine territories, of the wild fauna and flora, of grandiose landscapes : a huge photographic challenge which is a tribute to the planet's beauty. Sebastião's Salgado's lifestyles and paintings are revealed to us through his son, Juliano, who went with him during his remaining journeys, and through Wim Wenders, a photographer himself.
