Rose, a rebellious half-vampire/half-human guardian-in-training and her easiest friend, Lissa -- a mortal, royal vampire Princess - have been on the run when they are captured and again to St. Vladamirs Academy, the very position where they believe their lives might be in maximum jeopardy. Rose will sacrifice the whole lot to protect Lissa from these who intend to make the most her from within the Academy partitions and the Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires) who hunt her type from outdoor its sanctuary.
