Aspiring actor John (Paul Rudd) and wannabe screenwriter Elliot (Patton Oswalt) are slacker easiest buddies who have observed their desires of stardom fizzle. With their thirtieth birthdays looming, they set out on a challenge to grow to be well-known in the 24/7, celebrity-obsessed world. Through it all, our disheartened duo inadvertently grow to be key witnesses in a top profile crime that sets the information cycle on fire, making them household names... however only if they can live to tell the tale the infamy and international shame.
