Batman raises the stakes in his conflict on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman units out to dismantle the final legal organizations that plague the streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they quickly locate themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed via a rising legal mastermind known to the terrified electorate of Gotham as the Joker.
