Cidade de Deus is a shantytown that started out during the Sixties and turned one of Rio de Janeiro’s maximum unhealthy puts in the starting of the 1980s. To inform the tale of this place, the movie describes the existence of various characters, all noticed by the aspect of view of the narrator, Buscapé. Buscapé was raised in a very violent environment. Despite the feeling that all odds had been towards him, he finds out that existence can be noticed with different eyes: The eyes of an artist. By accident, he becomes a professional photographer, gaining his freedom.
